NBA superstar Kevin Durant is set to play his first game for the Phoenix Suns after being out with an MCL sprain since January 8th. The team announced on Tuesday that Durant will play against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Durant has been practicing with his new team for the past two weeks, including a long practice on Tuesday, to prepare for his return. “I was having fun out there before I got injured, so looking forward to going out there and picking up where I left off,” Durant said. He will be on a minutes restriction, meaning he will not play for the entire game. Coach Monty Williams said that Durant will be a great addition to the team, and it’s a great opportunity for them to grow. The Suns will face a tough challenge against a Hornets team on a five-game winning streak, but they will be without their star point guard LaMelo Ball, who is out for the rest of the season with a right ankle fracture.
