Charles Barkley unloads on NBA Players, load management

Listen up, NBA players!! Charles Barkley is not happy with load management in the NBA, and he’s not holding back. In an interview on First Take, he slammed the strategy that’s affecting many NBA games this season. He’s not happy with players who make millions of dollars but then sit out games. He thinks it’s disrespectful to the game and to the fans.

Barkley had this to say: “You can’t make $30, $40, $50 million and then sit out games. I think it’s disrespectful to the game, I think it’s disrespectful to the fans. It ain’t like we’re working in the steel mill, brother. I mean there’s people working the steel mill every day, I’m pretty sure they’re tired too. But they go to work every day, so yeah, I think load management is a big deal.”

He went on to say that in the next TV deal, some players could make 70-80 million dollars a year, and they can’t expect to sit out games and disrespect the fans. Barkley doesn’t know what the solution is, but he thinks playing fewer games in a season is not the answer because that would mean less money for many NBA players.

Barkley’s message is clear: players who make big money should be playing every night, and load management is a big deal. So let’s hope the players hear him loud and clear!
